Suggest Treatment For Soft Stool
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Colonoscopy should be done to rule large intestine problem out.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Soft stools along with abdominal pain at your age (over 50) should be checked with possible colon cancer. Please note that the risk of this cancer significantly rises over 50.
That is why, colonoscopy is the first test which should be done.
Upper right abdominal pain and loose stool can be also caused by gallstones. Especially if the pain radiates to the back and you have some nausea.
Urinary tract infection or gastrointestinal infection should be also ruled out.
I suggest you to consult your doctor. Abdominal ultrasound, blood work, urine analysis should be done at first. Colonoscopy should be done (even if gallstones will be found).
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
