Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Thanks for your query.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be most commonly attributed to:
1. Erosion of the Pharyngeal mucosa, secondary to acid reflux.
2. Inflammatory changes secondary to upper respiratory tract infection.
Being two different causes, the management will differ in both.
So, kindly let us know about the following:
1. Since how many days is it present?
2. Any recent history of illness or upper respiratory tract infection?
3. Any history of difficulty in swallowing of food?
4. Any complaints of vomiting/ regurgitation of food?
5. Any history of stress or inadequate sleep?
6. History of Hypertension, Diabetes, etc in past or family?
7. History of smoking and alcohol consumption?
8. History of prolonged intake of any medication?
9. Any other associated symptoms?
A knowledge of the above mentioned questions will be helpful for us in making a better diagnosis and formulate an appropriate management plan.
If possible, also attach a picture of the lesion in throat.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Take care.
