Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
I reverted your last query too. I am glad to know that your surgery went fine.
The throat irritation is very common after surgery due to abrasions caused by laryngoscope tube during intubation before surgery.
This usually improves with time.
I advise following if the problem is troublesome:
1. To do warm saline gargles. You can add a tablet of Disprin in half cup water and gargle with that.
2. Xylocaine viscus can be used for symptomatic relief.
3. Take soft bland diet.
This would get fine in 5-7 days. But if you have severe irritation you can adopt the above mentioned measures.
If you have any further query please ask me.

Is it normal to feel like I'm choking? I feel like there is mucus stuck in my throat when I swallow which is preventing me from sleeping. Of course, the sore throat still exist. Should I be alarm.
