Upper respiratory tract infection...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
The symptoms described by you are of upper respiratory tract infection, mostly viral in origin. It takes at least 4-5 days for the infection to subside. Meanwhile, symptomatic medicines are more than sufficient to treat this. Antibiotics are not required at this stage.
The body temperature of yours is well within normal range. The antipyretic medicines are prescribed if the temperature soars above 37.5C and above. Relax! you don’t have any signs of cancer.
For the control of running nose, you can try taking over the counter medicines such as xylometazoline nasal drops, followed by steam inhalation. Try taking Paracetamol for fever and sore throat. Drink frequent sips of warm water. Avoid chilled food and beverages, coffee and fizzy drinks.
Hope with these measures you should get better. Continue with your anti anxiety medicines.
Revert back to me if you have any follow up queries.

Viral infection... Need to get thoroughly evaluated. I doubt cancer...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
1. nasal almost dry
A: Stop using the xylometazoline nasal spray and try using saline nasal spray to keep the nasal mucosa moist.
2. yesterday night i had 37.5 body tempurture i am very worried that maybe it could be some other ilness such as cancer
A: Just having continuous fever for a week doesn't indicate any cancer. You need to get yourself examined by the doctor for any additional signs of source of infection. Also, you would require blood tests to identify the type of infection you are having.
3. now is Between 37-37.5.
A: Sometimes, the viral infection can extend up to 10 days. Even with the best of the medicines the fever may not reduce. I would strongly suggest you to consult your doctor and get thoroughly examined.
Your anxiety is the one which is bothering you a lot. Kindly, get evaluated by your physician.
Hope this clarifies your doubts. Wish you good health.

Blood test is to rule out bacterial infection...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back,
1. why need blood test and other test?
A: Blood test was advised for two reasons. One, to relieve your anxiety about cancer such as lymphoma, secondly, to rule out any bacterial infection in the blood. The bacterial infection would require antibiotics, whereas a viral infection doesn't require any antibiotics.
2. about what I need to go evaluated now i am worried even more, is there something serious.
A: As I mentioned above, it is only to relieve your anxiety. In your query, you have not revealed about your visit with the doctor, hence, I suggested you consult a doctor.
3. the fever is only 3 days now
A: As it is a viral infection, it will gradually subside without antibiotics. You just need to wait for some time to get better.
Hope this clears your doubts. Wish you good luck.

today i quite better, just when i woke up today i took out Phlegm mixed with blood is it normal?
is it sign for somthing?
Yes it’s normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back,
Blood tinged sputum is normal during acute upper respiratory tract infection. Congested tiny capillaries break off while clearing the nose or throat causing blood to mix with the secretions.
Keeping yourself hydrated by drinking frequent sips of warm water can reduce this issue. Also, frequent use of a saline nasal spray can alleviate these symptoms.
Hope this clarifies your doubts. Wish you good health.

another question i spray salt water in my nose with same spray as i was sick few days ago can i be sick again from this or the body is imuned to this virus?i made mistake its post nasal drip with blood
Do not worry! It’s absolutely normal...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Blood tinged sputum is common following nasal congestion after upper respiratory tract infection. This is due to breakage of the engorged blood vessels in the nose and the pharyngeal wall. Do not worry! This is absolutely normal.
I would advise not to use the old spray. As you have rightly said, the infected nozzle of the spray may cause re-infection. Hence, the new one is always better.
My suggestions to you are:
1. Continue using saline nasal spray as frequently as possible.
2. Do steam inhalation 2 times a day.
3. Drink frequent sips of warm water.
4. Avoid forcing too much while cleaning your nose or clearing your throat.
5. Avoid coffee, chilled food and beverages.
Hope this clarifies your doubts. Wish you good health.

its normal?
Fresh bleeding one episode is normal..:
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Thanks for writing back
First of all, I would like to reassure you that this is absolutely normal. One episode of fresh bleeding is not a sign of any serious disease. This is a very common complaint I hear from my patients following upper respiratory tract infection.
Do not worry! As I mentioned in my earlier response it’s due to rupture of tiny blood vessels following the infection. Frequent use of saline spray can decongest the nasal and pharyngeal mucosa, thereby, avoiding rupture of any blood vessels.
Hope this clears your doubts. Good luck to you.
