Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Fatigue And Mild Fever

Two weeks back I went to a sex worker. As she tore the packet the condom fell on the floor. She picked it up and put it on me. I said no intercourse and she grinded on my penis with her vagina and I orgasmed. Then she removed the condom by pulling the tip and I wiped myself with tissue paper.
Are there chances I can catch HIV with the above accident of dropping the condom on a contimated floor possibly infected vaginal fluid or previous customers infected semen and lets say the condom may have picked it up and when i put it onn I may catch the infection.
After 2 weeks I am having sore throat, mild fever, fatigue and body ache
Please advice as I am very distressed.
Unlikely to be due to HIV infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. The HIV virus gets destroyed within minutes of exposure to air. Therefore any dried vaginal fluid or semen on the floor will not have any viable virus which can cause infection.
2. The condoms are rolled and packed and therefore only a small area will touch the floor if it was dropped after opening. There is practically no way that HIV virus will enter you in the above event.
3. The symptoms of sore throat and fever can be from flu and this is common in the winter season. Please take medicines as recommended and you should recover in a week. Avoid anxiety and stress because it is unlikely to have HIV infection from the event above. For peace of mind you can get HIV 4th generation rapid test for HIV 1 and HIV 2 antibodies and p24 antigen test after 30 days from the date of probable exposure and again at 6 months.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
