Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Swollen Glands And Fever
Acute tonsillo-pharyngitis with gastritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query; I will try my best to help you out with this problem.
The brief description mentioned by you indicates that you could be suffering from Acute Tonsillo-pharyngitis. Usually, the initial few days of infection will be viral in origin, which is self-limiting. The chest pain may be secondary to the gastritis induced following stress, dehydration and insufficient food intake.
The best home remedies for you are:
1. To drink plenty of warm water - this will reduce the pain and inflammation.
2. Take OTC medcine such as paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain relief and fever and antacid syrup to reduce the acidity/chest pain.
3. Take soft feeds, which will be easy for you to swallow.
4. Avoid chilled foods and beverages, oily food, coffee and tea for few days.
5. Take bed rest for couple of days.
Do not worry! With the above measures you will gradually feel better. If the symptoms persist even after two days, consult your doctor for further evaluation and complete management.
Hope this answers your query; I will be available for the follow-up queries.

Hi
Welcome back
First of all, I express my sincere apologies for the delay in answering this query. I was referring to recent research articles to help you out with this query.
1. Of the wide variety of medications available to treat Fibromyalgia (FM), only three are approved by the FDA: pregabalin (Lyrica, Pfizer), duloxetine (Cymbalta, XXXXXXX Lilly), and milnacipran (Savella, Forest/Cypress Bioscience). Out of these, Milnacipran has found to be more beneficial than the other two, with lesser side effects and more tolerability.
2. Sleep predicts the pain in the individuals suffering from FM, more so in females. Sleep disturbance worsens the pain, finally leading to depression. Vice versa, the pain can spoil the sleep. Hence, sleep plays an important role in controlling the symptoms. Relaxation exercises and transcendental meditation has found to be beneficial in these cases.
3. Recently, it has been learnt that small-fibre neuropathy caused by overactive immune system has been treated as FM. So, in your case, if further investigations are done, probably the diagnosis and the treatment may change.
Hope this information has been helpful to you. If you have any more queries, you are always welcome.
Finally, a piece of advice; please use ibuprofen judiciously, as it can worsen your asthmatic episodes. Try to avoid NSAIDs as much as possible.
I pray god for your good health.
Regards
