Brief Answer:
I don't find any reason to worry!!
Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
I am glad to see that you are so aware about your illness.
Okay, let's come to your problems one by one.
Firstly about TB Lymph Node, you had taken Anti Tubercular Drugs for about 1 year. Your symptoms regressed and your ESR got settled.
So, i don't find any problem with that.
However, you have not mentioned about your
lymphadenopathy. Is that settled?
ESR of 25 is acceptable, it can increase even when you have an infection like you just had, an upper
respiratory tract infection.
You should keep one thing in mind that you can also get a
throat infection like everyone does. You have it, you take medications, its all right.
Cough and phelgem can simply occur in
Common Cold.
Still if it persists for more then 2 weeks, get Sputum for AFB and Chest Xray. However, i don't think you will require it.
Now coming to your IBS part. See, you must be knowing , IBS is mostly related to your brain. So, you should stop thinking about it. You should know one thing very clearly that it is not an accepted theory that an antibiotic like
Cefpodoxime would cause IBS!!
First of all, you should be sure that you have IBS!!
Tell me do you have any pain in abdomen??
Pain has to be there in IBS. That pain can be associated with
Diarrhea or
Constipation.
It is said that "No Pain, No IBS"!!
So, reply with a few questions that i have put across you during my reply. And do ask me if you have any further query!
Stay Healthy.
