Brief Answer:
neuropathy

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the abnormal sensation is related to neuropathy. Neuropathy is due to abnormal structure or function of the nerves.

It can be central (related to the nerves in the brain and spinal cord) or peripheral (nerves in the rest of the body outside these two areas).

It can be temporary or permanent.

There are different possible causes such as: (1) trauma to the nerves that supply the particular area
(2)diabetes
(3)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(4)liver disease
(5)kidney disease
(6)exposure to toxins
(7)can be associated with some autoimmune diseases
(8)thyroid disease
(9)idiopathic- cause is not known
(10)side effect of medication

There are particular types of medication that are normally used for this type of sensations eg lyrica, gabapentin, amitriptyline, nortriptyline, tegretol

Though these medications are antidepressants and antiseizure meds they are used in persons with neuropathy who have neither depression or seizures. Neuropathy is another indication for these medications.

Your doctor can assess your face by conducting a neurological examination (checking sensation and muscle function) and initiate investigations and treatment for you.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
