Suggest Treatment For Spots In Teeth And Chalky Feeling In Mouth After Taking Finasteride

Seems allergic reaction..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain if the symptoms have started to occur after taking Finasteride then it seems most probably due to side effect or allergic reaction to the medicine..
In case if the chalky and wrinkly feeling of tongue is in the form of a white coating over tongue than it can be due to Oral Thrush that is a yeast infection.
Kindly send the images of your tongue and teeth as well as answer a few questions so that I can guide you towards proper treatment..
1.Did the symptoms occur after starting Finasteride?
2.Is there white coating over tongue also present?
3.Are you taking any other Medication too?
Kindly reply the same so that I can provide you with suitable advise for relief..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..

3. I am not taking any other medications.
Side effect of medicine..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Again..
Thanks for the answers..
As per the answers the symptoms that you are experiencing are due to side effect of Finasteride only and as you have discontinued the medicine now gradually the symptoms will subside..
As of now to reduce discomfort you can take supportive treatment..
You can Gargle with a numbing mouthwash that contains Lignocaine to reduce discomfort especially while taking food due to sensitivity with salt and spicy food..
Also limit the intake of spicy food and take a soft and bland diet..
Take a multivitamin tablet for 15 days..
Sucking ice pops and cold water gargles will help..
Drink plenty of water to faster wean off the effect of the medicine..
Do it for 1 week and on case if the symptoms starts resolving it is fine otherwise consult your treating physician and get a proper checkup done..
Hopefully you will see improvement with a week and if there is improvement continue the same for one week more..
Wishing you quick recovery..
Thanks and regards..
