Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Pain In The Left Hip While Coughing

Question: Have stabbing pain in the crook of left hip when I cough deeply. Have had the cough for years but in the last several months the pain has started and increased to the point where I cannot lift my leg into the car without assisting with my hands.

Hi,

I have read your query.

Prolong cough itself is dangerous thing (it may be tubercular).

I advise you to get xray chest PA view, Xray hip with thigh AP view, Xray lumbosacral spine AP and Lateral view, ESR, Complete blood counts, montoux test done and send me the report.

Till then have tab. aceclofenac+thiocochicoside twice a day.
