Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Pain On The Side Of Head

A few questions in order to better understand your headaches
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The description provided matches that of a migraine headache, but I would still like to narrow it down with the help of a few questions I have for you. If you do not mind, please do provide your kind response to each of them.
1. Are you stressed? Have you observed any like with stress? As in, do these headaches come when you are more stressed, or do they have nothing to do with stress?
2. Do you wear glasses? Have you checked your power lately? Whether you wear glasses or not, an ophthalmology consultation may be necessary to check if there are any changes in your vision as this can be a trigger for headaches as well.
3. Do you have an irregular schedule of eating? I mean, some times do to work or responsibilities do you tend to leave a long gap between meals?
4. Are you exposed to any extreme temperatures prior to or during the occurrences of these headaches?
5. Any head injuries?
6. Are you on any hormonal supplements (including birth control, etc.)?
7. Have you been diagnosed with any reproductive system-associated conditions or abnormalities?
8. Is your menstrual cycle regular?
9. Are you currently on any medications?
10. Could you please write back to me with your weight and height.
Thank you so much for your patience, co-operation and understanding ma'am, I really appreciate it. I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further.
Best wishes.

All answers are no except for number 8 and number 9. This does not feel like a head ache or a migraine... It feels sharper if I bend forward... My height is 1.64m and my weight is 62kg.
Thank you so much for that, list of possibilities mentioned
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
Thank you so much for your kind response, you have been really helpful.
Your BMI is calculated to be 23.3., which is in the normal range, and is good to know.
So based on the information at hand, I have the following list of possibilities:
1. Orthostatic or postural hypotension: Changes or fluctuations in blood pressure, especially with a change in posture. I would recommend a check on your blood pressure in the following manner: be seated and check your blood pressure, and with the cuff still attached around your arm, stand up and immediately measure your blood pressure again. If there is a change, then this diagnosis should be confirmed
2. Hypertension or hypotension: Measuring your blood pressure at 3-6 different times during the day, will help find any discrepancies and accordingly help to mould a diagnosis.
3. Vertigo: Vertigo is only a symptom and is usually considered to resemble dizziness or difficulty with balance (when severe) and occurs with swift head movements of changes in posture. Most commonly associated with a condition called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), but there are other causes to it as well.
4. Cannot yet rule out migraine headaches, as they are the only ones that occur in half the head and also increase in intensity when the blood supply to the head changes with a change in position (like when you being forward)
I hope you find my response helpful, and also hope I have explained things in a manner best understood by you. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
