Please find causes of fullness of right kidney discussed below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. There is prominence of calyceal system in right kidney and no kidney stones have been found, therefore
(i) It can be that the bladder was completely full at the of ultrasound scan however since it is involving only right side therefore this idea is not much acceptable
(ii) The kidney pelvicalyceal system is probably appearing full by itself (extrarenal pelvis) and is an extension of normal appearance. This is taken as normal.
(iii) Rarely an infection of urinary system and kidneys (recent or old) can cause such a finding but this is likely only if the patient has symptoms like pain in the region of kidney and problems like burning urination or discoloration of urine or any kidney infections in the past. A urine test will tell us more should have any infection.
(iv) Stones in lower ureter can also cause fullness of pelvicalyceal system and this needs to be cross checked by seeing the right ureter opening in the urinary bladder. Your doctor will have clarified this point.
(v) Any mass in abdomen including retroperitoneal area causing pressure on right ureter. Since no mass is present therefore this point also is not valid.
Please continue to drink lots of fresh juices and fluids and visit washrooms regularly. This will help to flush any mild infection or stone in the urinary tract and make you feel comfortable.
2. Blood reports concerning thyroid and kidneys will provide information on the functioning of the organs.
3. Buscopan is for pain that is colic in nature. Nexazole contains a medicine called esomeprazole. This belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors and helps in treating gastritis.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
