![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi I'm having stomach problems one month ago November 10 I had an endoscopy done sense then I have having mild stomach pain. I have a hiatel hernia, when I eat it's not to bad it seams when I get a little hungry it really bothers me. On the test results my doctor noted Schatzhi ring and hiatal hernia.
Brief Answer:
was there any ulcer in the stomach or duodenum?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
this kind of pain is suggestive of a duodenal ulcer. Did the gastroenterologist also check your stomach and duodenum? One of the symptoms of duodenal ulcer is pain when the patient is hungry. The patient may wake up to eat in order to feel better. Omeprazole should help for the duodenal ulcer too.
Kind Regards!

He didn't say anything about an ulcer is this something I should take care of right away, can it wait until after the holidays .....Thank You
Brief Answer:
it depends
Detailed Answer:
You're welcome!
If this is a symptom that causes a lot of trouble to you then - obviously - it can't wait that long. If it's a duodenal ulcer then there are potential complications too, although omerprazole is protective.
You can check the report (or upload it here) to see whether the rest of the upper gastrointestinal tract was visualized or not. Normally your doctor should have checked it. Hiatal hernia is not supposed to cause pain when the stomach is empty but rather the opposite.
