Brief Answer:
No specific treatment is effective
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
There is no established treatment for oral submucous fibrosis. Only thing which helps is the complete cessation of tobacco use.
Still the changes which have already occurred in the mucosa are not reversible at least in short term. Restricted mouth opening does not improve much with any of the treatments be it medical or surgical. Regular Jaw stretching exercise and various flaps are done for this but the benefit is doubtful.
Symptoms of burning sensation and difficulty in taking spicy food improves over time.
Usually given treatments of B complex, lycopene, and steroid injections have no proven role.

Brief Answer:
Nasolabial flap/ FRAFF
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
Nasolabial flap is commonly used flap for this. Free radial artery forearm flap is also used for this problem. Bilateral coronoidectomy with release of temporalis(FRAFF) muscles is also used.
But long term results are not very encouraging for all these flaps.
Triamcinolone (Kenacort) injections and gel forms are used but with limited success.
Any head & neck surgeon or plastic surgeon with experience in micro vascular surgery in Lucknow will be able to do these flaps.

Brief Answer:
Kenacort gel and Tab. Riconia
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
Best way to treat these symptoms is stopping tobacco use and these symptoms will subside gradually, how gradually is anybody's guess.
Other wise local application of Kenacort gel with Tab. Riconia (B complex) once daily will help somewhat in alleviating the symptoms.
