Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Wrist Caused By Needle Puncture In A Methamphetamine Addict

Question: i am a drug addict meth, i recently started useing the needle and now my wrist is swelled up, its hot and hurts to move it. what can i do to relieve the pressure and the pain? i took a bactrim and a rifampn. do i use cold compress?

Welcome to HCM: What you have is what we call superficial phlebitis. This is normally very painful. The treatment for this is a hot compress and ibuprofen for pain relief. This will take about 5-7 days to get complete relief.
