Suggest Treatment For Swelling On Cheek After Quitting Smoking
White patch suspicious of malignancy, biopsy needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
White colored patches are suspicious and called leuplakia
It is difficult to comment on gross examination whether a lesion is malignant or not.
However, all white patches are considered potentially malignant unless proven otherwise.
I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist for clinical assessment and a biopsy of the lesion if required.
Biopsy followed by histopathological diagnosis will assess the exact nature of the lesion.
It is good that you have quit smoking.
Stay away from smoking even if the lesion turns out to be non-neoplastic or benign because smoking is a strong risk factor for many cancers.
Thanks and take care

Clinical assessment & HPE needed to know behaviour
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
It cannot be predicted whether the lesion will heal on its own.
Character of lesion, whether it will heal or not will completely depend on clinical assessment and histopathology report of the lesion.
Thanks and take care

If patch is malignant, it can be treated.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
Yes, the patches can go away on their own and they can be treated in case they turn out to be malignant.
However, nothing can be predicted on assessing the photograph alone
A proper clinical assessment of the lesion is required.
Biopsy of the lesion can be taken if required.
The exact nature of the lesion can be assessed by histopathological examination only.
