Brief Answer:
Stomach ache could be made worse by Meftal

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Let me ask you whether swine flu has been confirmed through lab investigation. Let me tell you that any cough and cold is not due to swine flu and even all influenza viruses are not swine flu virus.

If your child has a fever with temperature more than 100°F, you need to give Paracetamol (Crocin or Calpol) to it bring down. Also, use tepid sponging. If Paracetamol is not effective in bringing down the temperature, you need to use Meftal-P (Mefenamic acid) which is more effective. The minimum gap between two doses of Crocin is 4-6 hours. The doses of Crocin and Meftal P are independent of each other. Minimum gap between doses of Meftal P is 6-8 hours.

However, I do not think that they would be needed to be used simultaneously.

As regards the stomach ache, it could be due to gastritis and Meftal P could make it worse. Please let me know the details and I would guide you accordingly. Also, let me know the body weight of the child.

Regards
