What Is The Cause For Dry Cough, Achy Chest And High Fever With History Of Taking Flu Vaccine?
My 4 year old son has a dry cough, achy chest and a fever of 104. Gave him tylenol and fever comes down to about 100. he is now laying in bed and his body feels as though it is burning up yet his feet and hands are cool to the touch. What causes this? He received a flu vaccine about 1 month ago at the dr office. we live in the east coast in southern pa. He started with the cough last night about 5pm. woke up this morning with the fever. He does not want to eat
The reason for cough, body ache and high fever could be related to a viral infection. Flu vaccine doesn't cover all strains of Influenza viruses. Other thing to consider is lower respiratory tract infection. If he doesn't want to eat it could be due to sore throat or because of feeling unwell. If the fever remains high despite giving paracetamol it is best for him to be seen by a doctor
