Question: Our 47 year old mentally handicapped son began wetting himself yesterday. Today he seemed to be in pain, but couldn't tell us where. After examining him, I found his scrotum was swollen, slightly warmer than normal with redness. What can we do to help him until we can take him to his Dr. tomorrow?

Brief Answer:
He has infection of Testis (Orchitis)

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query.
Based on fats that you have posted it appears that he has developed infection of the testicles.

He needs to get examined by qualified general surgeon for clinical examination and get following basic test done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and urine culture
2) Ultrasound Scanning of scrotum and abdomen

Till then you can give him antibiotic and anti inflammatory medicine like Diclofenac .
Hope I have answered your query .Please feel free to ask if you have more questions .I shall be happy to help you.

Thanks and Regards.
