Suggest Treatment For Swollen Ankles, Testis And Penis After Surgery
Question: I had three hernias repaired on the left sis of my abdomen near my groin. Since then I have swollen ankles, testes and penis almost ever day. After I sleep the swelling is almost all gone and it starts again. The surgeon said this was normal after a week but it's been almost three I am being treated with AZOR for slightly elevated blood pressure, what should I do?

When the hernia surgery is done, there will be some tissue reaction which decreases the flow of lymph and this is the reason for the swelling of the scrotum and the penis when you are up. When you lie down and sleep the gravity is eliminated and the fluid drains normally.
The swelling in the ankle is a common side effect of Amylodipine , a calcium channel blocker which is a component of Azor. Though it is an inconvenience, it is not a dangerous side effect.
If you want to eliminate it, request your doctor for a change of antihypertensive.
