Brief Answer:
Its time to change the medication. Throat swab, Sputum,Routine blood tests.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. This seems to be a severe infection and since there is no change after a week, it is time to change the medication.
2. A throat swab, sputum examination and culture / sensitivity and routine blood tests are advised. Sinus and Chest X-rays should be done.
3. In form your doctors and let them decide the route of medication and the changes required. Avoid steroid sprays during active infections. You may start them later under antibiotic cover that is effective.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
