Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The swollen papilla is because of the irritation secondary to the irritation caused by burn and trauma by the food particles or secondary to deposits. It has resulted in inflammatory gingival enlargement. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get a radiograph done to check the status of the bone and surrounding teeth. If there, is any infection in the adjacent tooth, it has to be treated, since there is a crown adjacent to the enlarged gums. So radiograph will confirm the diagnosis.
If i am your treating doctor, i would have suggested you to take a course of antibiotics like doxycycline (if you are not allergic). Do not traumatize that area while brushing or eating.
Once the diagnosis is confirmed, if it is secondary to deposits to deposits, get the teeth cleaned. If it is secondary to tooth infection, then the tooth has to be treated.
Do saline gargling, consult a oral physician and get a radiograph done and upload the images. So that i can give you exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
If any queris are there, reply me back.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply, as per the images uploaded. it is not looking like cancer, it looks like high freenal attachment with inflammatory, gingival enlargement, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. If it is high freenal attachment, get freenectomy done. If it is gum infection or inflammatory gingival enlargement get the teeth cleaned.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
