Brief Answer:
You need an ENT assessment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

unilateral tonsil swelling may be caused by various conditions and some of them are very serious like tumors (lymphoma or tonsil cancer), so it has to be evaluated by an ENT specialist (ear-nose-throat). If you have no fever then infectious causes (like an abscess) can be probably excluded.

Hashimoto's thyroiditis has nothing to do with your tonsils.

Tinnitus is a symptom that's usually caused by damage in the internal ear. If the tinnitus appeared only recently then it has to be evaluated by an ENT specialist as well. It is usually benign in nature but - rarely - it can't be linked to brain tumors.

I don't mean to scare you, so I'll finish with this: the most common causes of both symptoms are benign.

I hope I've helped!
Kind Regards!

Brief Answer:
It shouldn't make a difference

Detailed Answer:
GERD shouldn't make a difference to your tonsil or ear problem. You can treat GERD with proton pump inhibitors (like omeprazole) and perhaps also some prokinetic drugs (like domperidone for example), unless you have any contraindications to any of them. Non-drug interventions that may help include:
- small meals
- reduce coffee, chocolate, citrus fruits, smoking, fatty food
- avoid lying down right after meals
- elevate the head side of your bed a little.

Kind Regards!
