1 week of bloating and a little vomit in throat after every meal. Ive had a colonoscopy which showed gastroitis
Brief Answer:
you have gerd.omeprazole will help
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Your symptoms seem to be secondary to GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease)
I hope I am right in inferring from your description that you had a upper GI endoscopy ( and not a colonoscopy which is done from the anus) and that it showed gastritis.
I would suggest you tal a PPI like omeprazole which is available as an over the counter medicine for at least 4 weeks. This will reduce the Acid production in your stomach and reduce the bloating.
Along with this you should follow the following dietary restrictions
Avoid over eating
Avoid deep fried foods
Avoid chocolate and mint flavoured food, citrus fruits like oranges and meat
Avoid alcohol and smoking
Do not lie down for at least three hours before meals
Hope this helps
Do get back in case you have further queries

No, i had a colonoscopy for lower abdominal issues back in September, came back positive for colitis. I havent had an endoscope sorry
Brief Answer:
UGI endoscopy, if symptoms persist beyond 4 weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the information.
In that case the plan which I would suggest is to take omeprazole for 4 weeks and in case the symptoms persist at the end of four weeks, then I would advise to get an upper GI endoscopy done.
Another quick query, Are you on any medication for colitis right now? If not then I would not suggest any change in the management.
