Question: My child has a FAI which causes pain in the hips and lower back requiring arcoxia when playing sport. Will look at corrective options in the new year but at moment just needs to get through. If the arcoxia isn't quite enough can you recommend other anti inflammatories/pain medication that could be tried in conjunction with the arcoxia. Doing all the recommended stretching, core strengthening, yoga etc.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
He is getting a very effective pain killer. He may also take a combination medicine with Paracetamol/Acetaminophen with Tramadol, for example Tablet Ultracet twice a day for better relief.
Hot fomentation, Physiotherapy, avoidance of precipitating factors are very important to avoid symptoms and reduce chance of progression.
I hope I have answered your query.
