Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Genital Herpes
Question: Friday- started as intense burning urination and the urge to pee frequently. I also noticed some slight clear/white discharge coming from the penis.
Monday- The burning urination was still happening but now I noticed a couple wart like bumps on the shaft of the penis. I went to see a doctor and he just looked pretty briefly and said he was going to treat for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
Now we are here today, and it seems the sores have spread, my groin hurts, and I am still having discharge. I uploaded a picture. Is this herpes? or just more symptoms of an STi?

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have read your query and i have also reviewed the image.
I can see multiple sores on shaft and at base of penis. This is very much genital herpes. Genital herpes classically presents with well defined erosions/ sores along with pain or burning sensation. There might be pain and burning sensation on passing urine as well. I would suggest an oral antiviral e.g valacyclovir or acyclovir. This should heal the sores.
You must as well take screening tests for STDs i.e vdrl for syphilis, Hiv, swab test or urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia as well as a DNA PCR swab test from one of the sores for confirmation of genital herpes.
