Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Hand, Foot And Mouth Disease

Question: I am just recovering from a couple of bouts of different flu (wonderful last couple of weeks) and yesterday noticed that the "pads" on my body (palms, elbows, balls of the feet) are all slightly swollen, somewhat tender, and itchy (hands). I am almost 62, male, Type II Diabetic. Office worker. 10 lbs over weight. Light exerciser.
Brief Answer:
Probably hand-foot-moth disease!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for contacting us.
I have reviewed your information fully. This is suggestive of viral infection. Treatment consist in managing your symptoms only. I will encourage that you continue with the gold bond cream and add benadryl for the itches. This usually resolves within 7-10days. If the pains become unbearable, I will suggest that you add tylenol as well: 1000mg every 8hours. Lest I forget, you must drink much water and get some rest, too!
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
