Suggest Treatment For Teething Issues In Infant
Question: Hi Doctor,
My 15 months old baby (15.5kgs) has been extreamly cranky for the past 2-3 days. she is continuously slapping her "cheeks" and only getting pacified when she is on breast feed. I feel she is having severe teething problem. She already has 8 front teeth and now (lower and upper central and lateral incisors ) and now expecting the molars . Today night we had to give her Crocin DS for some pain relied (1 ml dose).
Can you suggest some ways so that we can give her some relief for this teething pains ?

Teething may cause excessive irritability in child of this age.
I would suggest you to give breast feed if it really pacifies him.Continue giving 4 ml Crocin DS(240 mg/5ml; 10-15 mg/kg/dose)3 times a day.
For better relief,clean your hand properly with soap and water.Then apply clenora gel (an oral gel which contains some anesthetic agent and mucosa healing agent) over the gums and gently massage.Repaet this 3-4 times a day.
Be careful to avoid any bite injury to your fingers.
Also be watchful for any other symptoms which can make baby cranky like any difficulty in passing urine or stool,improper sleep or other causes.
I hope with the above measures she should get relieved.
