Suggest Treatment For Tenderness In Nose After An Injury

Please visit ER...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
After going through the history I do feel, there could be either trauma to the nasal septum (which is composed of cartilage in the front and bone behind) or separation of the cartilage from the nasal bones on the sides.
Either of the case, I would recommend you to consult your doctor to rule out hematoma (collection of blood) of the nasal septum. Presence of hematoma can cause excruciating pain, which has to be relieved surgically.
I would suggest you to try keeping cold packs around the nose and take OTC pain relievers. Also, visit ER and consult the doctor at the earliest.
Hope I have answered your query; I will be available for the follow-up queries.

You can definitely wait for few more hours...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing back
Stuffy nose can be treated with OTC decongestant such as xylometazoline or oxymetazoline. Try taking pain relievers and consult your doctor in the morning. There is no harm in waiting for few more hours.
Hope this clarifies your doubts.
