Suggest Treatment For Terrible Tooth Ache
tooth infection, cellulitis, medication, RCT/extraction
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the pain and swelling is concerned I have the following possibility. It can be because of tooth infection secondary to decayed tooth which has resulted in pus formation and spread to involve the soft tissues (cellulitis). Since you have not taken antibiotics the pain will be there till the infection is not treated. Once you start the antibiotics along with analgesics then the pain will come down in 2 days.
Nothing to be panic, consult a good pediatric dental surgeon and get it evaluated. If i am your treating doctor, I would have suggested you to take a course of antibiotics like amoxycillin and analgesics like combiflam (if he is not allergic).
You have not described clearly that which tooth has problem right now. If it is a molar then it has to be saved till the permanent teeth erupts by doing root canal treatment. If it is a front milk tooth, then it can be removed since the permanent incisors erupts at the age of 7-8years.
These are the possible diagnosis and treatment plan based on the description of your problem. If you can upload the images of the teeth in question I can give my best diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope I have answered your query. If any queries are there reply me back.
Take care.
