Suggest Treatment For Thick Skin Near The Buttocks
Question: Hi, I have thick skin expanding near my butt crack; not itchy or any pain. It been expanding in dimension for at 3 years now. please advice
Brief Answer:
exfoliative creams will help.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. From the picture of buttock cracks , the thickness you mentioned with no pain or itch history neither fits any fungal infection nor any pilonidal cysts. All you need is good hygiene habits and apply some exfoliative creams at night for a few hours followed by a clean washing of the area for a few weeks will help.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please. Consult a dermatologist nearby and let them have a look for further management.

Could you recommend some cream please
Brief Answer:
Needs work up and management
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me
There are many home remedies and creams available for exfoliative dermatitis. Aloe vera creams, glycolic acids like xerina etc. More important is visiting a general surgeon, let them pass a probe, assess the area for any pilonidal cyst which can not be appreciate and negated out with out examination and assessment of butt crease. It could be combined fungal infections common in there. Unless a complete clinical correlation and examination has took place, no cream should be used.
We here can try our best to guide and counsel, but we cant prescribe or recommend medications, we can just guide you , and would recommend to visit a doctor, let them rule out possibilities discussed above and proceed accordingly.
I hope it helps.
