Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection
Question: I have been detected a throat infection. Since yesterday I had 99° fever. Combiflam comforted me. But today morning again I got up with fever with 99° temperature. When I went to the doctor without having combiflam my fever XXXXXXX to 101.7°.He prescribed me mahacef plus , flexon & octizole -D. Am worried because last year I had typhoid & had mahacef for curing it. Am I again having typhoid ??? Am also passing a lot if gas since having these medicines though I had proper dinner. Is it the after effect of the medicines doctor has prescribed me ???

Do not worry ma'am, tablet mahacef-plus is just a moderate strength antibiotic which will help treat the bacterial throat infection, flexion will help with the pain and octizole-D should help to reduce gastric irritation and reduce the nausea and vomiting sensation.
Antibiotics normally cause gastric irritation which is why medications to control or reduce this irritation should also be prescribed. But clearly the tablet octizole-D is not helping you, and needs to be substituted. You can try other medications like rantac, pantocid 40 mg, aciloc, mylanta, gelusil syrup, etc.
You can also try to drink plenty of fluids and have small meals more frequently and on time. This is most certainly a side effect of the medications prescribed, and most probably the antibiotic (mahacef). But do not worry, as there is nothing serious to worry about.
