Suggest Treatment For Throat Ulcers
Question: Hi I am in New York where my daughter is a student of the XXXXXXX Academy of Dramatic Art. She cannot afford health insurance. She has enlargened tonsils and an ulcer on one of them. I am worried they could be come infected thanks, I do have some Keflex antiobiotics could I give them to her?? thanks cheers XXXX

Thanks for the query.
Although ideally,patient should consult a doctor for the exact diagnosis and extent of problem,but if your daughter is unable to consult the doctor,then you can start KEFLEX ( CEPHALEXIN ).
It can be given in the dose of 500 mg three times a day.
In addition she should be asked to do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day and avoid cold drinks and chilly and spicy foods.
in case she doesn't become all right in next 3 days,then she should visit a doctor.
