Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Welcome to HCM
I understand your concern
Do not be panic.
Acquired infection from tick bites is not very common.
Most of tick bites cause irritation and allergic reaction.
Bite of infected ticks of the Ixodes genus cause lyme disease.
With in 3-5 days of bite, local redness develop at the bite area.
If you have no redness/skin rash, then chance of infection is less.
For that single dose of doxycycline is required.
But you have already taken doxy.
If you have fever and pain, then take acetaminophen to relieve pain.
If you have itching, then apply ointment containg diphenhydramine.
Apply ice packs on the lesion.
Hope I have answered your question

Hello dear,
Welcome back.
I understand your concern.
You can remove the tick from the body as below:
- You can remove tick yourself with help of tweezers.
- Hold the tick close to the skin’s surface and pull away from the skin
- Trying not to bend or twist the tick.
- Not leave any of the tick’s part in the bite.
- Clean the area with alcohol/soap and water.
- Take bath with hot water.
- You can also apply Cinnamon Oil directly on the affected area or body as it act as natural repellent and useful in getting rid from ticks.
- Check all your body part (groin, head, axilla) for ticks.
- Comb your hair with a fine-toothed comb.
- Put your clothes in a hot dryer and hang them out in the sun
Prevention:
Cover as much of your body as possible when working or playing in grassy or wooded areas.
Clear leaves, brush, tall grasses, woodpiles, and stone fences from around your house and the edges of your yard or garden.
