Suggest Treatment For Tightness In Throat

default
Posted on Fri, 18 Sep 2015
Question: I've been experiencing this off and on since XXXXXXX I keep feeling a tightness in my throat, as if I'm going to gag or vomit but my stomach feels completely fine. It is NOT heartburn, however. It seems to happen completely at random, as I have tried to monitor my food intake, taking out highly acidic foods and whatnot. None of it has consistently worked. It seems to be worse on particularly humid days, and sometimes it is painful, as though a rock is sitting in my throat. This has become difficult to manage.

Needs further testing

Detailed Answer:
hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a few possible causes
1. arrhythmia or abnormal heart beat can cause this. get a Holter monitoring for the same.
2. hyperacidity can cause the symptoms, but you have already said not so.
3. anxiety disorders can cause the same.
4. anemia can cause tachycardia, thereby resulting in the problem.
I suggest a few tests. CBC KFT EKG HOLTER. let us know the reports so we can help you find the best solution for your problem.
Meanwhile, start Tab Pantocid 40 mg twice a day.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal
