Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation In The Inner Ear Area
Read below
Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
Numbness confined to that area with no additional symptom is unlikely to be of a neurological origin. That is because the nerves responsible for that area have other functions as well, so it would be associated with other symptoms such as weakness or loss of sensation in the face, taste changes etc. So if no other manifestations it is not neurological.
In that case the first thing to look at is issues with the ear canal such as infections, bacterial or fungal ones, allergic skin conditions, seborrhea etc. For that direct examination with an otoscope is needed. If no such issue is found then dental issues should be considered such as dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint, the joint which joins the mandible with the skull, which can at times cause abnormal sensations radiating to the ear.
