Brief Answer:
Steam inhalation should help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have carefully gone through your query and understand your concern. Our ear has three parts: external ear (upto the eardrum), middle ear and the inner ear (containing the hearing apparatus). The mentioned problem could in any of the three parts. It could be due to wax in external ear. It could be due to cough and cold blocking the connection of the middle ear with the throat. It could be due to some changes in the hearing apparatus. My primary suspicion is related to the middle ear. If that is the case, taking steam inhalation should provide relief. Water in form of vapor would reach deep inside and would help in diluting the mucus. If that does not help, it would be a good idea to visit an ENT doctor and to get yourself clinically evaluated.
