Suggest Treatment For Torn Tendon After Stubbing Toe

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Jul 2015
Question: My 50 year old daughter suffers from what seems to be a torn tendon. She stubbed her toe on the last step and we heard a snap sound and she had a very bruised lower leg for some time and she refused to go to the ER or a doc later. Why? Who knows because she has suffered continually from a spot of pain and burning.

She had recently, last 5 years had therapy with no permanent result. She used message and infrared therapy here at home.

My wonder could a laser treatment remove the pain which is probably a related nerve involvement.

laser treatment may not give permanent relief

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have read your query.
There is possibility of tendon injury leading to arthritis of joint and leading to persistent pain.
Physiotherapy and laser may give temporary relief.
I will advise you joint fusion by surgery if arthritis is proven by x ray.
