Lips sore are generally not serious.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Although its a 5th day of your sore ulcer, can you take a photo of that and upload so that i can have a better judgement?
There are many causes of lip sores ranging from mild to serious.
Mostly, lip sores are not serious and do not pose a significant health risk.
Lip sores might occur as the result minor trauma like biting your lip or burning it with hot food, contagious(herpes simplex virus),canker sores(known as aphthous ulcers)are another common cause of lip sores.
Treatment is mainly depend upon the underlying cause but symptomatic treatment is helpful as in most of the cases the cause remains unknown.
You can see your family doctor or surgeon to rule out any other infective or malignant pathology although the chances are rare.
Here, I am giving you some information which can be beneficial to you.
1) Maintain good oral hygiene and avoid hot and spicy foods.
2) Antiseptic mouth wash(chlorhexidine) for gargles for rapid healing and to prevent secondary infection.
3) Topical analgesic gel like benzydamine which is also having a local anaesthetic effect.
4) Take folic acid with vitamin b complex to promote healing.
Hope this information is helpful but it would be advisable that you will see your doctor first and then ask for treatment.
Thanks.

This was the bad suggestion given :( not happy
not like that when underlying cause is not known.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
In any case of mouth ulcer or sore when underlying cause is not known, what I have given suggestion is the only available treatment.
There is not much you can do on that because the ultimately the important part is healing the wound or ulcer and the body itself will do that.
There is no medicine which can cause or fasten the healing rather we can just provide the healing support which is deficient.
We can just provide limited support on that and it will take at least one week to get healed.
One can only change the brand names of topical gel or cream and multivitamins like zytee gel or dento gel and tablet b- folcin, tablet folate etc.
If you are thinking there is a much more scope of any treatment then you must go for it.
Anyway,thanks for your suggestion.
I totally understand your position.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your reply again.
I totally understand your position and can empathize with the pain you are going through. But I need you to kindly understand the limitations when it comes to dermatological problems. More than any other field, in dermatology one needs to inspect with eyes what the lesions are, how they look, are they scaling, oozing, healing etc. It was for that reason I had asked for a clinical photo so that I can analyze the lesion and differentiate it from an infective lesion like Herpes sores from that of non infective like aphthous ulcers/ dental ulcers and give you a more direct and precise answer which would be satisfactory for both of us. I understand too, about your limitations and hesitation in sending a clinical image, and hence I have to rely completely on your history and not the-best-of-descriptions can actually do justice, like having a single look at the lesion.
I must also add that there is no radical treatment that any doctor can suggest without seeing the lesion. If he does that, it is being done half-heartedly. That is why I had to give you a mildly generalized treatment regimen which would work with any ulcers or lesions, as I don't have a complete picture. I understand you when you say, they are available on google, but when these are the only treatment options available, I wouldn't be able to suggest anything more.
We here on this platform provide only general information and it should not be relied upon as a completely, thorough assessment and treatment because here we have to rely only on the available history and descriptions by the users in their own language and terminology. You must consult your nearest physician before acting on any advise provided here as it is a universal e-patient policy.
In your case, this is the only available and suggestible treatment when there are no means to actually examine and inspect the lesion physically or through technological means.
As again, you are welcome to ask and clarify anything.
Thanks and Regards
