Question: I am asking a question regarding urology. I had the 3rd stage surgery in march for a Jpouch. This was for ulcerates colitis. It has been successful. I do tale morphine 2x daily 5 ml. I also take glycopyrrolate 2mg tab 2x daily and lopermide 2mg 6 tabs a day. All for digestive process. Ist year then expect only lopermide. I am 71 and have not had sex for 5 years. Other than that in good health. Last 2 weeks attempted sex 2 times. Both times I failed to ejackulate. Once I tried with viagra and penis was not hard enough even for oral sex. Did become harder many hours after attempt. Viagra was 100 mg. I can ejackulate thru masturbation. What can I do to deal with problem?

Brief Answer:
need to spend more time with foreplay

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concern.

First thing i need to point out that glucopyrrolate is associated with decreased sexual ability and if it is possible to remove, than ask your doctor to stop it completely. I have observed frequently than once it is stopped people regain there sexual ability.
There could be other factors that need intervention to have full fledged activity but i am of the opinion that this is the most easy thing that we can do with minimum discomfort.

Secondly with increasing age the sexual response is slow in compare to young age. Getting a full erection is time consuming at many times and devoting enough time for foreplay and sexual activity becomes more important.
This is also noticed that with age the time to ejaculate increases during sexual activity. To counter this age associated effect you need to ask your partner for more and more foreplay for better sexual life.

I like to make it clear that none of the current medication is associated with delayed ejaculation. If you are receiving any other medication, like anti depressants, that could be another possible cause of difficulty in ejaculation.

'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
Thanks

Thank you I would ask if the Viagra 100 mg has a better effect if taken 2 hours before. Also I have been taking bupropion 100 mg 2x daily I was told it did not effect sex but can cut back or stop if its viewed as proper

Also since I have digestive issues is sex greater possibility on empty stomach. I s any exercise helpful.

Brief Answer:
It need to be taken about at least one hour before

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

The usual peak with Viagra is achieved after one and half hour and it remains so for next four to six hours. Because of this, the optimum time to take viagra is at least one hour before sexual activity or one to two hours before expected sexual encounter.

I like to state that Bupropion is less likely to cause sexual problem but it is not completely devoid of sexual side effects. It can cause both difficulty in erection and delayed orgasm. If it is possible for you to change to other anti depressant or to stop, it is likely to yield results. Please note that it should be withdrawn gradually because of withdrawal side effects.

There is no relation of sex with empty or full stomach as long as you are comfortable. You can take exercise you choice of appropriate time for sex as per your comfort.

Yes definitely exercise is very helpful in maintaining in sexual capacity. This is applicable to every part of our health including your sexual health. There is no specific exercise which increase the chance of erection. The general well being of your body is proxy of your sexual health.

I hope you got your question answered. If you have more questions, feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards
