
Suggest Treatment For Urinary Infection

Question: Hi doctor
I am 28 years old
I have a 2 months baby
1)Recently i had a blood test and i got to know i have urine infection
My doctor suggested me to take Nitrofurantoine mc katwijk
50 mg 4 times a day(20 tablets). Is this medicine safe for my baby as i am breastfeeding??
2)my second question is how i can protect my baby's ears when the plane will be taking off as its not always possible that the baby will take feed while taking off pr landing of aircraft?
3) i have a pcod problem
My weight is 81 kgs and height is 5ft 4 inches. How much i need to lose and what should i eat as i am suffering from hypothyroidism also

Nitrofurantoin is safe and it won't affect baby by breast feeding. You can continue the same.
There is no need to plug baby's ears. It's not going to harm.
You need to lose at least 20 kg. But don't try it for 6 months at least as you are feeding. Dieting now will reduce breast milk.
