Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection

Question: Hello. My name is XXXXXXX and I have a lot off issues that may or may not have some link to my current malady, but I am hoping that it is a simple urinary tract infection.
I have to urinate something like once every half hour and have a lot of lower back pain. Unfortunately, I also have arthritic of the back, so I am not certain that back pain is the same issue.
Separate issue
On occasion, I do dumb things (sometimes bi-polar?). I have MS, but it has been in remission, for years. So, I, in my XXXXXXX wisdom, decided that it was stupid to continue giving myself the shots ever week - and expensive, so I stopped.
Was (is) that really dumb, or am I OK with doing that?

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I understand that you have multiple ailments. In case of urinary tract infection, treatment with a course of antibiotics should bring relief. You should also take plenty of water to drink.
About your low back pain, I would insist you to get an X-Ray of Lumbosacral spine (AP and lateral) done and to visit a physical therapist with the same. S/he would be able to demonstrate the exercises that would help.
If you are already in remission for your MS, you need not take further shots.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards

Glad to hear that I am OK with not taking the shots! Whew. I was afraid I had done something really stupid.
By the way ... can/will the MS return?

Brief Answer:
No need to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. MS can relapse. But that is not obligatory. Let us not get worried about it.
Feel free to ask me back directly if you ever have a health related query in the future.
