Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Fungal Infection

default
Posted on Tue, 22 Jul 2014
Question: I had a yeast infection and used one day application. Don't have burning or itching but still vaginal pressure and lower back pain. Should I try cream for vaginitis? I am on vacation and need something over the counter - no blood in urine, some burning I think due to yeast

Brief Answer:
FOLLOW THE ADVICE.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

You can use CLOTRIMAZOLE vaginal cream (like GYNE-LOTRIMIN). It is less irritating and much effective than Monistat (Miconazole). It is used twice daily for 3-5 days.

Patient compliance is quite good and it is available over the counter. Drink plenty of water, avoid sugary food and maintain genital hygiene properly.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and take care yourself.

Regards,
Dr Soumen
