Hello and thank you. What type of viral infrction? I have had only two partners in my life. The first partner I always used condoms. The second and current one I do not. He has only been with 3 or 4 women all of which condoms were used. IHe does not have any growths and has only had unprotexted sex with me. These growths are not painfil but somewhat annoying. None of us have a history of STI's. No fever, no painful urinination or white discharge. I have not had intercourse in about 3 weeks and noticed this growth about a week ago. Thank you for your help
Brief Answer:
Looks like molluscum contagiosum or HPV
Detailed Answer:
Dear,
It looks like molluscum contagiosum (pox virus) or a viral wart by Human pappiloma virus (HPV) though i will confess that its difficult to diagnose just from a picture.
I think you have got it most probably from your second partner as viral infections spread even on using condoms as they spread by skin (like thighs etc ) contact.
Also males generally do not show any growth even though they might be infected and giving it to their female partner. Also the growth takes about 4 weeks to appear so recent intercourse is not necessary.
I will advice to first get a biopsy or viral culture from the growth to be sure which virus it is. Then accordingly i can start the treatment when you tell me the report.

Hello, I got the HPV vaccine when I was a teenager (im 25). I have heard of molluscum but I am wondering if it could also be vestibular papillomatosis? I will follow up with my primary MD but if this is not treated can it lead to more serious health concerns? Thank you
Brief Answer:
No life threatening health concerns.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXX,
It will not be spreading out to rest of your body if that is what you mean by a major health concern.
But you need to get it treated as these things grow pretty fast and cover entire genitalia.
And stop having sex with this partner completely, not even with condoms.
Good that you got the HPV vaccine .

Thank you for the response. I have scheduled an appointment with my GYNO and will be checked in 2 weeks.
As for no sex with my current partner If you mean never again im afraid I cannot because he is my fiance. I will however abstain until I am properly diagnosed. Thank you again.
Brief Answer:
Thank you
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX,
Thank you for your reply. I will then advice that you atleast take him also and get him also tested. Then he also can get treated and there is no need to abstain after that.
