Suggest Treatment For Vaginitis
Question: I am post menapausal and noticed a pinkish brown stain on my pantyliner this morning. Should I be overly cocerned? Had a pelvic exam end of December.
Brief Answer:
gynecologist examination needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thanks for trusting health care magic.
I have seen the attached picture and this is definitely mild spotting. Such types of spotting is sometimes worrisome, hence you should visit your gynecologist and get a per speculum examination.
And in case everything is normal on examination then nothing active needs to be done.
But in case it recurs again then get a pap smear examination done.
So visit your gynecologist despite of your December visit.
Take care and Regards

My gyn is not in office today. Should I be overly concerned? I haven't noticed anything today so far. Is that a good sign? I won't be able to call back until Monday. I don't want to spend all weekend worrying.
Brief Answer:
Can wait till Monday
Detailed Answer:
No mam, there is no need to be overly tensed and anxious as of now because in your age the most common cause is senile atrophy and thus vaginitis occurs causing slight bleeding and irritation in that area.
you can wait till Monday and always apply a panty liner so that in case spotting occurrs again, you will get to know.
visit your doctor on Monday and then we can discuss further management in case you need further opinion.
All the best.
