It will not get to your heart...
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking HCM.
I am Dr.Endri and I will answer at all your questions. The ruptured will not get at your heart so we have nothing to be worried for this.
But a ruptured vein, depending from its caliber might give other consequences.
-anemia due to the blood loss. Our thigh have plenty of room between the muscles for blood to acumulate and in this way it is formed what we call a haematoma. It can be absorbed by our body wothout any problem,or it might get infected and cause an abscess. Also if there is a huge amount of blood it can damage the vascularisation of the muscles and cause gangrene (rarely but possible)
-vein thrombosis or thromboflebitis
-ulceration of the skin,cyanosis
I suggest you do an ultrasound of your veins and arteries to check their flow and to see if there is any other problem or not.
The only proper treatment for varicose veins are through surgery. There are medications to lower the symptoms but the symptoms will never go away.
After the dopler ultrasound you need to be checked with an angiologist for further treatment...
For any other question, feel free to contact me.
Wishing you good health.
