Suggest Treatment For Vertigo And Nausea After Getting Epidural Injection
Question: I had steroid epidural injection for lower back pain on Thursday 7/14 at 2pm. At 1:30am Saturday I got up to go to bathroom and when I got in bed everything was spinning....and continued every time I moved. I had to stay still and turn on lights and sit up to stop the spinning/vertigo. Since then I have been nauseous every day with at least 10-20 episodes of spinning when I move too fast or bend over or lay down. Nothing else has changed. I have never had steroids OR an epidural in my 59 years until last Thursday. Could that have caused the vertigo, and if so, how long will it last?
Brief Answer:
Vertigo
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
I am sorry to hear that you are having significant vertigo with nausea post steroid epidural. This is not a common reaction to epidural steroids and I think you should contact the doctor who performed the injection. There maybe something else going on like a infection or spinal fluid leakage.
I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
