Brief Answer:
need some clarifications please
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXX,
Thanks for choosing HCM.
I need some clarifications for better understanding of your problem.
1. Do you have hypertension, diabetes, past strokes, cardiac disease; if so what drugs you are on
2. can you mention how high is your BP and sugar level
3. Is it the spinning of the world around your head OR swaying from side to side as if you are pushed from sides or behind -- that your vertigo mean ?
Waiting for a reply. Thanks.

I have hypertension.I take Microzide 12.5 mg and Norvasc 10 mg.My non-fasting sugar level was 142, but fasting was 98 with my A1C 5.1. No stroke or cardiac disease. My last BP reading was 153/83 on meds. Before the meds my highest was 192/101. On Nov. 1st I woke up with my head spinning. That would come and go for a few days, now my head just feels fuzzy and full like it might explode.Have been to the Dr. several times ,had lots of test including a MRI of the head, which was ok.This all started after I took 4 radiation treatments for prostate cancer. I took a total of 10 treatments then stopped because I felt so bad with all of the above.
Brief Answer:
different possibilities.
Detailed Answer:
HI,
From your drugs, i can pick Microzide as a possible cause of your symptoms, as fatigue and giddiness are known complications of that drug. You may be using it since many years but we need to check by holding it or replacing it for accurate diagnosis. If your symptoms improve after withdrawing Microzide, you can safely assume it to be the culprit.
Radiation, has no bearing with your symptoms.
I would also recommend you to rule out cervical disc disease, a common cause of recurrent vertigo in your age.
The last possibility is postural hypotension due to fluctuating blood pressure levels as you are on dual drug therapy.
Feel free to ask any further questions. Thank you
