Brief Answer:
Conservative treatment is needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

Hepatitis(inflammation or infection of liver with raised liver enzymes and bilirubin level)usually occurs due to viral infection.
There are so many other viruses apart from hepatitis virus(hepatitis A,B,C)which can cause hepatitis.
But the screening is usually available for hepatitis A,B and C virus. You have mentioned that the hepatitis test is negative.
I would like to know is he negative for all these three and what type of screening test was done (kit tet or ELISA).The sensitivity of kit test is low so ELISA is preferred.
I would also like to get prothrombin test done.Tge liver is the main site where synthesis of coagulation factor takes place and in case of hepatitis there can be coagulation abnormality (detected by prothrombin trst)which is a bad prognosis.
I won't get worried if prothrombin test is normal, there is no vomiting, child is accepting orally well and his behavior is normal.
Give him carbohydrate rich, low protein, low fat diet.Liver is also a site for glucose synthesis so to prevent hypoglycemia give glucose water.
Vitamin supplementation particularly of fat soluble vitamins like A,D,E,K is important.I prefer to give one vitamin K injection to every case of hepatitis as vitamin K deficiency can cause bleeding disorder.
Be in regular follow up with your doctor and get repeat enzyme levels done after two to three days to see the pattern.
There is no specific management and conservative treatment is sufficient in most of the cases.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Wishing for your child's speedy recovery.
Regards
