![default](/r/images/default.png)
vit d, vit b12 deficiency is very much treatable
Detailed Answer:
Hey thanks for your faith in the health care Magic
I have gone through your question and I understood your problem.
Why dint you consult with your doctor as soon as you finished shelcal for three months. Its nice that you are feeling relieved with this injection but dont just use it on your own it can lead to following side effects aswell
1. Hypercalcaemia 2. Fatigue 3. Weakness 4. Diarrhoea 5. Vomiting 6. Sluggishness 7. Albuminuria 8. Polyuria 9. Calcification of soft tissues.
You said you dont have vit b12 deficiency and you are getting enough of its supplements. So I will explain you how to treat vit d deficiency.
The daily maintenance dose of vitamin D varies by age, but most children and adults generally require 600-2000 IU of vitamin D daily. For vitamin D-deficient children and adults, higher doses of vitamin D given either daily or weekly are recommended, followed by an increase in the daily dose of vitamin D. After correction of their vitamin D status with oral vitamin D, patients should have a repeat test of their 25(OH)D level to confirm that they are in the normal range. If the 25(OH)D concentration remains persistently low despite several attempts at correction with oral vitamin D, a trial of UVB light therapy (ie, by tanning lamps) may be considered to improve vitamin D status.
Sensible sun exposure, especially between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm produces vitamin D in the skin that may last twice as long in the blood compared with ingested vitamin D. If sun exposure produces slight pinkness, the amount of vitamin D produced in response to exposure of the full body is equivalent to ingesting 10,000-25,000 IU.
DIET-
The following foods contain the indicated amounts of vitamin D, as reported by the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA's) Nutrient Data Laboratory:
Fortified milk (8 oz) - 100 IU
Fortified orange juice (8 oz)[7] - 100 IU
Fortified cereal (1 serving) - 40-80 IU
Pickled herring (100 g) - 680 IU
Canned salmon with bones (100 g) - 624 IU
Mackerel (100 g) - 360 IU
Canned sardines (100 g) - 272 IU
Codfish (100 g) - 44 IU
Swiss cheese (100 g) - 44 IU
Raw shiitake mushrooms (100 g) - 76 IU
Most multivitamins (1 tab) - 400 IU
You already are having good sun exposure you said.So keep doing that . Just focus a bit more on diet.
There are no such guidelines as in how much time deficiency gets cured we have to monitor their levels. You said you already have given blood sample for estimation so if possible discuss those reports with your treating doctor.
I hope my answer was helpful for you . Thank you.

Cal mag d can be used effectively
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the appreciation.
Continue standing in sunlight it will indeed help you.
Yes cal mag d can be used effectively. Cal Mag is a great supplement and helps us maintain and strengthen our bones. However when the requirement of calcium goes really high e.g.: post menopausal women, People above 30, people with weak bones, & when the ability of body to absorb calcium is low, this combination might help to increase bone-mineral density and decrease bone resorption of Calcium.
Its sad to hear that your doctor isnt taking you seriously and is not efficient enough to help you.So why dont you try changing one???
Let me know your todays blood sample reports aswell.
I hope my answer was helpful for you . Thank you.

Preventing Deficiency Problems
Most people can prevent vitamin B12 deficiency by eating enough meat, poultry, seafood, dairy products, and eggs.
If you don't eat animal products, or you have a medical condition that limits how well your body absorbs nutrients, experts recommend taking a B12-containing multivitamin and eating breakfast cereal fortified with vitamin B12.
Vit b12 deficiency I have seen over the years to be recovered during a year or two. No such guidelines it depends on the cause of deficiency.

My vitamin D shows - 123
And my b12 is >2000
I know it's too high what can I do to lower it
Its time to take maintenance therapy
Detailed Answer:
Hey thanks for the revert.
Your reports seem to be very high but don't worry they will fall down to a normal level. What you have to do now is decrease the supplements you are taking for few days say a month and then repeat your blood tests. They will decrease and then just take maintenance therapy. What you were getting now were loading doses. Now its time to take only maintenance doses. All these have to be decided by serial blood level estimations.
I hope my answer was helpful for you. Don't forget to close the discussion. Thank you.
